I hate the wording “gays”

I have hated it for a long time and people always ask me why. Because it implies that the entire Queer community falls under the category of homosexual male. We are not all “gays” People have all different identities. You can’t just lump everyone under one word like that. Thats why there was an acronym created in the first place, which many people still do not feel is broad enough. I’m a queer I don’t even know. I don’t always appreciate being referred to as one of “the gays.” I feel like people very often leave out the T and the Q in LGBTQ. I’m getting tired of that. Damn it we are a whole group of people and feelings and genders and different sexualities. Start giving everyone the proper attention and cares. Its not “gay marriage”. Its fucking marriage. Its not “violence against gays” its not “discrimination agains gays.” Its fucking discrimination and violence against all types of people who have names and identities that may not fit under the implied “homosexual male”

Argentina JUST PASSED a groundbreaking gender identity bill!!!

From now on, people will be able to change the name and gender on their ID without needing psychiatric permission or any body modifications. Furthermore, anyone who does want hormones or surgery will be able to access them for free through the public and private health system.

It was passed unanimously today by the Senate :-D
